Dear Parents,

SCHOOL BUS SERVICE 2025-2026

 

Our school will provide bus service for students during the 2025-2026 school year. To ensure its smooth operation, we would like to invite parents to read the attached “Guidelines for School Bus Services”. The details of the school bus service are as follows:

 

(1)           Route:

(2)           Payment:  (I)    Monthly payments for different pick up points are the same.        

(II)          The school bus fee is calculated on a 10-month basis and is non-refundable.

 

The schedule is as follows:

1st payment    :       July, before the semester begins (for existing students only)

August, before the semester begins (for new students only)

2nd payment    :       October

3rd payment     :       December

4th payment     :       February

5th payment     :       April

 

If your child is taking the school bus, please complete the Reply Slip on the next page, return it to the class teacher on Registration Day, and submit the first payment for the bus fee (September and October). The school will then issue a temporary school bus pass to your child in September. If you pay by cheque, all cheques should be made payable to “The IMC of Buddhist Fat Ho Memorial College”. If you deposit the money through ATM to the school bank account (HSBC: 801-400979-838), please write down the student’s name and class on the deposit form and submit it to the school. Please note that we can only provide the school bus service for students whose parents have completed and returned the Reply Slip. Parents of newly-enrolled students should submit this Reply Slip as soon as possible. Guidelines for School Bus Services

 

  1. The school has contracted with New Lantao Bus to provide transportation for our students.
  2. Schedule of charges for the school bus services:

(I)            The school bus fee is calculated on a 10-month basis and is non-refundable.

  1. If a student does not pay the bus fees or is absent without any reasons for more than 14 days, he/she will lose the right to take the school bus and will be required to apply for the service again.

 

4. If students lose their School Bus Passes or want to change travelling arrangements, they should report to the School Bus Management Committee immediately. The handling fee is $10.

5. To cancel the service or change travelling arrangements, parents must inform the School Bus Management Committee in writing two weeks before the next payment.

6. When a rule is broken, the matter must be referred to the School Bus Management Committee, and the student involved will receive a warning. If there is repeated offence, it may result in a suspension of the privilege to use the school bus service as directed by the School Bus Management Committee, and no refund will be made.

7. In order to facilitate better arrangements for the safety and care of students using the school bus service, the rules are as follows:

(A) When waiting at the bus stop:

(i)    Be punctual. Arrive at the pick-up point 5 minutes early.

(ii)    Line up at the designated place when boarding and leaving the school bus.

(iii)   Do not play or run at the bus stop.

(iv)   Present your valid school bus pass to teachers when boarding the school bus.

(v)   Tidy up after yourself, and dress appropriately, in an acceptable school uniform, before boarding the school bus.

(vi)   Keep the school bus clean. Dispose of trash in designated receptacles before boarding the bus.

 

(B) When the bus is in motion:

(i)        Do not shout or make any disturbing noises. When listening to music, watching videos, etc., please use earphones with the volume set at levels that do not disturb fellow passengers or the driver.

(ii)       Do not stick your head out or put hands or any parts of your body out of the windows. Remain seated during the bus journey.

(iii)   Be respectful to others. Disturbing other students by engaging in unruly behavior is not permitted.

(iv)          Students causing willful damage to a bus will be held fully accountable by the bus company.

(v)           Do not play with the Emergency exit.

(vi)          Check for personal belongings in the area where you sit prior to leaving the school bus.

(vii)        At your destination, remain seated until the bus comes to a complete stop.

 

 

   (C) Please be reminded that all students have to follow the instructions of teachers and staff.

8. Change of school bus route:

(A)             Any student who wishes to change to a new bus route during the school year has to apply to the School Bus Management Committee. If there is no vacancy for that bus route, permission will not be granted.

(B)             If any student wishes to change bus routes or stations after school for any reason, their parents must submit a letter to the School Bus Management Committee for approval. If there is no vacancy for that bus route, the change will not be approved.
